Fariello receives Dean's Award
Elizabeth Fariello has been selected to received the College of Education Dean's Award for Outstanding Achievement. The Award is given to an outstanding graduating senior in the College of Education who possesses a high total grade point average as well as exhibits strong leadership skills, outstanding character, and service.
Selected by a faculty committee, this student represents all of the best qualities found in an education professional. The recipient of the Dean's Award for Outstanding Achievement receives a $1,000 award and a plaque.
Fariello is an elementary education major from Radcliffe and became the Eastern Kentucky University Army ROTC program's first female cadet command sergeant major earlier this year. An elementary education major, she plans on a career as a school teacher.
On May 9, she will be commissioned as an Army second lieutenant in addition to receiving a B.S. degree in elementary education.
