Saturday, February 29th, EKU Colonels' Battalion hosted our first Open House in Weaver. Over 30 high school juniors and seniors joined us for a round robin of informational classes, campus tours and lunch catered by McAlister's provided by the National Guard. We are looking forward to seeing these future Colonels in the Fall! #colonelspride

EKU ROTC conducted first Army Physical Fitness Training (APFT)

Eastern Kentucky University ROTC Colonels conducted their first Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) of the semester to measure their endurance, strength, and speed. At lab, our freshman learned how to move with the use of Individual Movement Techniques (IMTs). Our sophomores learned about packing a ruck and what to take to the field training exercises (FTX).

Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 the Colonels' Battalion and LTC Jerimiah Corbin presented Denise Harris and Magan Lewis with an "Honorary Colonels" Award. Mrs. Harris is the Manager of Space Plan Utilization  and Mrs. Lewis is the Manager of the Relocation Crew for Eastern Kentucky University.

Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 the Colonels' Battalion recognized a special group of EKU employee who have made our move into Weaver a breeze! The entire process included over 40 craft employees from painting, carpentery, heating, flooring, and much more. Thank you to all the Facilities Services employees for their hard work. The Military Science and Leadership Department Army ROTC has moved to a new location. Welcome to Weaver!

Weaver Move 2019

Eastern Kentucky University Military Science and Leadership Department Army ROTC has moved to a new location. The new location for the department is 217 Park Drive, Weaver, Richmond, KY 40475. The main offices are in suite 200, second floor; instructor offices are inside Weaver gym suite 300; classrooms and cadet study area are located on the third floor.

Every year on September 11th Eastern Kentucky University’s ROTC program works alongside Student Life to host the 9/11 ceremony and stair climb. EKU is the only school in the state to hold an event like this.

The EKU Colonel's Battalion was pleased to present the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award to LTC (R) Jack Whitney. The award was presented at the ROTC Award Ceremony during the 2019 spring semester.

On the morning of Thursday, May 2, 2019, faculty and staff of the College of Business and Technology, as well as EKU administration, ROTC cadets and students, joined alumnus John Hardy Tribble and his family and friends for a special dedication as the ROTC Challenge Course was renamed to the John Hardy Tribble Challenge Course.
